A river tradition. A little responsibility.
Only You Can
Keep the
Rivers Clean.
River-inspired gear for people who give a damn about the water. Meet George, find your home river, and carry the message wherever you paddle.

Good gear. Better river manners.
From the family canoe club
A little history.
A whole lot of George.
Can U Canoe began as a family canoe club in Westland, Michigan, in 1978. George was drawn by our founder’s dad and became part of the crew’s river tradition.
Today, that tradition lives on through river-inspired apparel, stickers, and a plainspoken reminder to take care of the places we paddle. George brings the attitude. You bring your trash back.

What is Paddle Clean America?
The gear carries
the message.
You do the good.
Paddle Clean America is the river-stewardship message behind Can U Canoe: pack out what you bring in, respect wildlife, and help the next generation learn good river habits.
You don’t need a new shirt to start. Pick up your wrapper. Bring a trash bag. Leave the bank better than you found it.
Take the pledge ↗

Small paddlers.
Big responsibility.
A pledge for the next generation of river people. Pack out your trash, look after the water, and remind the grown-ups when they forget. Somebody has to.
